NEXCOM has relased its digital signage player NDiS series with Android™-based NDiS B114 to help convert shoppers into buyers for brick-and-mortar stores. Equipped with competent multimedia capability and network connectivity, the NDiS B114 is a feature-lite yet capable Android digital signage player which can amplify marketing messages whilst simplifying content and system management for retailers.
The NDiS B114 runs Android version 4.3 and comes with a quad-core Freescale™ i.MX 6Quad application processor. The NDiS B114 can intrigue and communicate with shoppers with flash, full HD videos, and 2D/3D graphics. The NDiS B114 can show product details on display racks and increase shoppers’ awareness of special offers at checkout counters, enhancing in-store shopper experiences and turning foot traffic into sales.
For ease of management, the NDiS B114 supports online content and system update. The NDiS B114 has a GbE LAN connector and a half-size mini-PCIe socket for 3G or Wi-Fi expansion. Product advertisements, software patches, and configuration settings can be distributed over both wired and wireless networks.
Furthermore, the NDiS B114 supports display output of up to 1920x1200 resolution with one HDMI 1.4 connector and has 8GB onboard storage. The Android digital signage player supports SD expansion of up to 32GB and has one SATA connector for use with HDD/SSD. NEXCOM has also released a Linux version of NDiS B114 running Ubuntu 12.04.
