Nexcom Dedicated Fanless Computer NISE 4000 Series for Smart Factory Automation with Up to 4x PCI/ PCIe expansion slots based on 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i5/i3 processors.

NEXCOM has released the fanless computer NISE 4000 series for smart factory automation. The NISE 4000 series is a fully integrated solution featuring scalable computing power, flexible function expansion, full integration of front accessible interfaces, and fanless compact design. The NISE 4000 series is aimed to replace rackmount IPCs by ensuring all-front access design, reliable operation, and cost efficiency for use in harsh factory environments.

The NISE 4000 series supports rPGA socket type 3rd generation Intel^® Core™ processors to provide high computing performance with TDP of up to 35W. Inside its compact fanless chassis, the fieldbus-ready NISE 4000 series has two mini-PCIe slots and four GbE LAN ports. The NISE 4000 series offers front access to up to four PCI/PCIe add-on cards and has isolation protection on DI/O and COM ports. As for storage, the NISE 4000 series uses NVRAM to prevent data loss and is outfitted with swappable HDD/SSD as well as CFast card. Furthermore, the NISE 4000 series has an internal connector to support USB dongle.

Based on the above optimized configurations for smart factory automation, the NISE 4000 series allows users to reserve the PCI/PCIe slots to build up application-specific capabilities of, for instance, motion control and machine vision; to utilize the mini-PCIe slots to support PROFIBUS, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT to open up factory-wide communication; and to leverage the gigabit Ethernet to connect factories and enterprise headquarters to enable data-based decision making, realizing the vision of an IP-based factory.

NEXCOM fanless computer NISE 4000 series includes three models: the NISE 4000P4E with four PCI/PCIe expansion slots, the NISE 4000P2E with two PCI/PCIe expansion slots, and the NISE 4000 without PCI/PCIe expansion slot. The optional fan kit is also available for high-power applications.
